FreeCad is an open source software in other words it is free. To emphasize as with any software or program there is a learning curve. Although this may be true once learned it will save a lot of time in the future. To say nothing of the fact you will be able to draw plans to scale and in 3-D. Its important to realize that this will have small glitches but nothing I found that is is to bad. Which is a great tool for woodworkers to draw their plans before they make it. And to have on file to print for use later. Which is far better than spending hours by hand to draft a set of plans. And still have to save the print on the computer for later use.
Furthermore it has a wide range of complex 3D operations. And equally important a robot simulation this allow you to see robot movements. As well as a sketcher to draw in 2-D and many more options. If you feel you would like to give it a go, click on link below. To emphasize that we do not receive any compensation to post this software. In fact we feel its something everyone might like to try. Nonetheless if you still want to do it by hand then by all means see our drafting table plans
